Accounts Officer

MTI Funeral Scheme Manager is looking for an Account Officer to join our expanding team in Petite Riviere.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Conducting financial analysis and providing insights and recommendations to management
SKILLS
  • Experience Required:

    • 1 year in Accounting Field
  • Additional Requirements:
    • HSC with Accounting
    • Proficiency in using QuickBooks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Attention to details
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Assessing the service needs of clients and linking to the appropriate resources
  • Ensuring synergy between clients and resources
  • Respond to any issues occur during delivery of service
  • Monitor the services being provided and stay up to date on service introduced to clients
  • Evaluate the quality of service and identify areas that need improvement
  • Work on a 24/7 shift system
SKILLS
  • Communication Skills:

    • Active listening: Ability to understand customer needs and concerns accurately.
    • Verbal communication: Clear and concise speaking, using appropriate language and tone.
